Hello, and Welcome! Here we are, the year 2020. I have been thinking a lot about my goals for this year and decade over the past few weeks. I have wanted to create a Vision Board for probably 20 years, and haven't quite got around to it. This year I changed that! I have heard so many testimonials from people proclaiming that they were able to manifest their dreams by visualizing them. Michaels stores were hosting a Resolution challenge this year, which perfectly fit in with my goal. Guess what? I won!!! I am so pleased to share with you my vision for 2020. I highly encourage you to make your own, as this was so fun to step a little out of my comfort zone to create. I chose a shadow box to house my visual elements to make them more interesting and have fun with dimension. A few pointers: -Start with your vision! I chose an image, the Luna Moth. For some reason she was calling me recently, and I love the symbolism behind the Luna Moth (intuition, evolution, rare beauty). So I painted her to start with. -I have written down my goals for the year, both big and small. In doing this, I have decided 'Clarity' is my word for 2020. Last year I chose abundance, and still feel an attachment to it, so I added it in my board. And I threw in FUN, because we could all use a little more fun! -I made sure that my goals were SMART goals, that could be achieved rather than an obscure idea that would be hard to quantify (and therefore won't accomplish). I have a road map of what I would like to achieve, and have it mapped out in my planner. Not that I expect everything to fall into place, but it's always better to at least have a goal and plan in mind in order to accomplish those big dreams. -Use symbolism! As you are creating a visual representation of your dreams, make it beautiful, and incorporate as much meaning as possible. I chose to use ribbons to represent fun, and living carefree. I included a red envelope, which is a symbol in the Chinese culture for good luck! -Keep it flexible! This should be considered a work in progress, and can be updated as necessary. I might add smaller goals to my ribbon later, but this is a great start the way it is. Make sure your materials allow you to do this. -Use interesting materials! I chose acetate, wood, and perler beads to create my letters. It was fun to create, and each word's material choice was a reflection of the word. - Have fun! Keep it light, and make sure you can see it each day, as it should be a compass for the choices you make this year!
